Re: All Points Bulletin (GTA)

Well, the game has a nice concept and it implements it nicely... for awhile. Feels like city of heroes GTA style but with less things to do. You're just running around the city and you get spammed with missions from contacts. People with a certain place on the wanted level mechanic open up so others...

Re: All Points Bulletin (Online)

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MAG_(video_game) It's a FPS for the ps3. It supports 64,128 and 256 players on a single map. Players are split up into squads, platoons and a company for the largest type. The huge maps were incredibly hectic, there is fighting going on everywhere. One side's company def...

Re: All Points Bulletin (Online)

I was doing MAG for awhile on the ps3 for a change of pace. Was pretty fun for awhile until i began to realize that pretty much everyone playing the game was easy prey even for the weakest faction. So I ran around hunting people with only a knife and a short range shotgun for when I attacked groups....

Re: All Points Bulletin (Online)

I wouldn't mind trying it, but i've been hearing various opinions on the game, good and bad. The thing is with many of the smaller companies, they usually have some unique ideas, but they fail in being able to properly execute them. Meaning things will get tedious after awhile. After seeing the game...

Re: Spammers

well our forum code is fairly old. We'd need to upgrade it to a more recent one. the ones with codewords are supposed to work well against bots.

Re: Spammers

It's been getting bad. I've been clearing them out then doing IP bans as a lot of the accounts have tended to come from a couple of them. I'd also been doing a few wildcard email bans for some places with things like a .cn address or other foreign strings that I don't recognize. That cut down on a l...

Re: Star Trek Online

They've talked about consoles, but I doubt it's going to happen. FF11 is the only one that has been released on consoles because it was designed with that intention from the start with a simple UI. The game is shaping up a bit better now and I'm going to be picking it up. I don't think it's going to...

Re: Star Trek Online

I've been getting very worried about this lately. They gave a release date of Feb 2nd, which is way too early. From the looks of it, they've been cutting corners in every possible place they can and have barely given one of the factions a backburner status. They still aren't giving out any solid inf...

Re: Star Trek Online

Lots of information coming out lately detailing how they're going to put out roles and character development as well as all the ship classes for the federation. They've stated a few days ago that closed beta WILL begin this year. So we're looking at 6-9 months for release on this. Beta signups have ...

i'd been a mechwarrior fan for many years, but after what they did with 4, i lost interest. even with the new one coming out, i don't think i could get into it anymore.

i have to agree with deb on the community. There will be a dominant pve playerbase, but we'l also see a sizable group of PVP players if they do it right.
